Our Approach

16 Hands Horse Sanctuary relies heavily on sponsorship and volunteer work. Because of this emphasis, it was their goal for Greenbaum Stiers to create a website that would showcase adoptable horses, support a user-friendly sponsorship process for donations, and implement a streamlined method for signing up and participating in volunteer events/work. Along with ease of use, they were in need of updated logos, a fresh redesign, and the ability to update the living document of their ever-changing website as horses come and go.

What we did

Greenbaum Stiers’ Design team set to work with the owners of 16 Hands to redesign their website for a fresh and welcoming new look. Our designers created unique assets for their website, specifically designed for the Sanctuary. The team gathered assets and information about each horse (and the occasional donkey!) at the sanctuary. We gave each one their own sponsor page pop-up, complete with a flattering picture, a biography, and notes from the volunteers that highlight their personality and favorite things. We polished the volunteer process, making it easier than ever for people to donate their time and energy to the animals. The team utilized images from the sanctuary that create a unique online experience for all who visit. Along with the ability to physically donate time to the sanctuary, Greenbaum Stiers also connected sponsors to animals with unique donation links, wish lists, and adoption processes for animals that qualify. Due to the nature of the business at 16 Hands Horse Sanctuary, it was also necessary to create a method of fluid communication between the Sanctuary and the Greenbaum Stiers team to update the website as animals are adopted or new animals trot aboard.
